MARAN’s Q3 Breakfast Meeting to Tackle Trade Facilitation: Key Industry Leaders to Convene

The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), a leading maritime association, has formally invited stakeholders to attend the July edition of its Breakfast Meeting. Scheduled for July 24, 2024, the event will take place at the Rockview Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.

In a statement signed by MARAN President, Mr. Godfrey Bibvere, the theme for the meeting, “Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda: Matters Arising,” has been described as particularly relevant.

The meeting aims to educate the public on the vital role of trade in the nation’s economic development.

The Breakfast Meeting will feature key industry figures, including Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi.

Other attendees will include top executives from government agencies, ship owners, freight forwarders, and other critical stakeholders in the marine and Blue Economy sector. The President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Adewale Adeyanju, is also expected to be present.

The gathering will provide a platform for these industry leaders to discuss and brainstorm on trade facilitation, seeking to address and find solutions to the challenges faced by the sector.
