Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director, Operations and Technical Services, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, will chair the second edition of the JustNet Transport Summit scheduled for October 23, 2026, in Lagos.

Enisuoh will lead industry deliberations alongside Dr Richard Aisuebeogun, former Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Dr Thomas Ogungbangbe, Chief Executive Officer of CITA Energies; and Dr Femi Aiyegbajeje, a transport specialist and senior lecturer at the University of Lagos.

The one-day summit, organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, will hold at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, under the theme, “Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future.”

The event is expected to bring together policymakers, regulators, transport operators, infrastructure developers, energy professionals, academics and other stakeholders across the aviation, maritime, road, rail, inland waterways and logistics sectors to examine the challenges posed by global disruptions and chart practical pathways towards a more resilient transport industry.

Enisuoh, popularly known as the “Double Captain” for his experience in the maritime and aviation sectors, is expected to bring a critical infrastructure security perspective to the discussions.

His operational responsibilities at Tantita Security Services, a major pipeline surveillance and security company, are expected to enrich deliberations on the protection of strategic national assets, energy security and the uninterrupted movement of people and goods.

With energy supply disruptions and threats to critical infrastructure increasingly affecting transportation and trade, his contribution is expected to highlight the importance of safeguarding vital assets to sustaining economic activities and strengthening national resilience.

Aisuebeogun, who will deliver the keynote address, is expected to examine the challenges confronting Nigeria’s transport sector amid changing global economic and operational realities.

His presentation is expected to address transport infrastructure, institutional governance, operational efficiency and the strategic importance of aviation in facilitating trade, investment and economic development.

Similarly, Ogungbangbe is expected to provide an energy-sector perspective, focusing on oil-market volatility, energy supply challenges and the relationship between reliable energy, infrastructure investment and the sustainability of transport operations.

His contribution is expected to underscore the need for affordable and dependable energy to support passenger movement, cargo handling, logistics operations and the development of critical transport infrastructure.

Aiyegbajeje, a senior lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Lagos, is expected to bring an academic and technical perspective to discussions on mobility systems, transport planning and the integration of Nigeria’s various transport modes.

His contribution is expected to highlight the importance of effective rail connectivity, coordinated transport planning and sustainable mobility systems in improving efficiency and reducing the vulnerability of the country’s transport network to domestic and international disruptions.

In a statement issued at the weekend, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, Mrs Pearl Ngwama, said the summit was conceived as a platform for industry stakeholders and policymakers to confront emerging challenges in transportation and develop practical solutions for building a more resilient transport ecosystem.

Ngwama said the discussions would focus on the effects of global disruptions on Nigeria’s transportation system, particularly in the areas of mobility, infrastructure development, energy security, trade facilitation and the implications of international economic developments for the country.

She explained that the objective was to facilitate robust, solution-driven deliberations capable of generating actionable recommendations for a more efficient, sustainable and future-ready transport sector.

According to her, the summit’s theme reflects the growing interdependence of transportation, energy supply chains and international trade, where disruptions in one segment can trigger wider operational and economic consequences.

For Nigeria, she noted, the challenge goes beyond providing transport infrastructure to ensuring effective integration of road, rail, aviation, maritime and inland waterways systems.

Other critical issues include the protection of strategic assets, reliable energy supply, efficient cargo movement and policies capable of attracting private-sector investment while improving service delivery.

The summit is therefore expected to explore how stronger institutional coordination, technological innovation, infrastructure protection and sustainable investment can improve the performance of Nigeria’s transport system and reduce its exposure to external and domestic shocks.

The organisers said the second edition builds on the inaugural summit held in 2025, which provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting the nation’s transportation industry.

The 2026 edition is expected to deepen those conversations, with broader discussions on emerging industry trends, regulatory and policy challenges, investment opportunities and practical strategies for strengthening the sector’s contribution to national economic growth.

JustNet News, a digital news platform published by JustAlive Communications Limited, covers developments across aviation, maritime, inland waterways, rail and road transportation, as well as related logistics and infrastructure issues.

The organisers expressed confidence that the summit would strengthen collaboration among industry stakeholders and promote constructive dialogue on the policies, partnerships and investments required to position Nigeria’s transport sector for sustainable growth amid evolving global economic and operational challenges.
