The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) marked the close of 2024 with a heartfelt celebration of prayers and thanksgiving during its end-of-year party held on Thursday, December 19.
The event, which coincided with MARAN’s end-of-year general meeting, served as a platform for members to reflect on their achievements and express gratitude for divine protection and blessings throughout the year.
In his address, MARAN President Godfrey Bivbere described 2024 as a fruitful year for the association. He attributed the successes of MARAN and its members to divine guidance and the collaborative efforts of maritime stakeholders.
As a key voice in the Marine and Blue Economy, Bivbere urged members to intensify their commitment to developmental journalism in 2025, aiming to drive growth within the sector.
A spiritual highlight of the event was the presence of Pastor Ezekiel Vincent, who led prayers for the members, their families, and stakeholders.
Pastor Vincent commended the association’s acknowledgment of God’s role in their achievements, emphasizing that gratitude paves the way for greater opportunities.
The festive gathering also featured a lively musical interlude, where members celebrated with dance and refreshments, fostering a sense of camaraderie and optimism for the year ahead.
