In a bid to enhance national security and fortify inter-agency cooperation, the Customs Area Controller of Tincan Island Port Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, has reiterated the importance of collaboration among security agencies.

“Beyond revenue generation and trade facilitation, our mandate also includes ensuring the safety and security of our ports. Working closely with sister agencies like the Nigerian Navy is crucial in safeguarding the nation’s economic gateway,” Onyeka stated.
He commended the Nigerian Navy for its relentless efforts in securing the nation’s waterways and combating sea robberies, acknowledging its role in maintaining maritime security.
In response, Navy Captain Oyeleye praised the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for its unwavering commitment to joint patrols, which he described as instrumental in the success of collaborative operations.
In a separate development, Comptroller Onyeka also visited the Controllers of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS) at PTML and Tincan Island Commands.
During his familiarization visit to the NAQS office in Tincan, he reassured the agency of continued partnership and expressed his commitment to integrating quarantine services into the command’s operations for enhanced efficiency.
