Compt Babatunde Olomu Initiates Interagency Collaboration with a Visit to Port Commissioner of Police

Today, May 15, 2024, marks the commencement of Babatunde Olomu’s tenure as the Customs Area Controller (CAC) at the Apapa Port Command. In a proactive move, Olomu wasted no time and paid a familiarization visit to the Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command Lagos, CP Olarewaju Olarenwaju Ishola.

During the visit, Olomu underscored the crucial role of the Nigeria Police Force in ensuring security, tranquility, and stability, which are essential for the Nigeria Customs Service to fulfill its mandate of revenue generation for the Federal Government.

Expressing gratitude for the ongoing support provided by the Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, Olomu emphasized the importance of maintaining strong interagency collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Customs Service.

Olomu also highlighted the significance of fostering good relationships with stakeholders to create a secure and enabling environment for businesses to thrive. Under his leadership, the Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service aims to leverage intelligence gathering to enhance its operations and fulfill its mandate effectively.

In response, CP Olarewaju Olarenwaju Ishola welcomed Olomu and his team to the Command headquarters.

He congratulated Olomu on his recent appointment and emphasized the strategic importance of the Apapa area command to the nation’s economy. Ishola reiterated the commitment to proactive policing to safeguard port facilities and ensure public safety.
