The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the Joint Tax Board have sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU, signed by the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, and the Secretary of the Joint Tax Board, Olusegun Adesokan, underscores a commitment to collaboration and integration of fiscal policies.
The signing ceremony, held at the NCS headquarters in Abuja on Monday, marked a milestone achievement following a meeting between the two entities on January 16, 2024. The CGC highlighted the collective efforts invested in finalizing the MOU, emphasizing its significance in fostering a vibrant economy.
The MOU aims to lay a robust foundation for future endeavors, focusing on enhancing data facilitation and strengthening strategic collaboration. This collaboration is expected to streamline tax management processes and contribute to Nigeria’s economic prosperity.
